After-Shots
I am pleased to offer another optional service – After Shots or an Engagement session with your local metro Atlanta booking, where you are willing to travel to Atlanta for this after the wedding and honeymoon photography, or beforehand for the Engagement shoot.
What is After Shots? After Shots is a technique where the bride (and sometimes the bride and husband) are photographed at sites in metro Atlanta in non-typical wedding surroundings. The bride wears her wedding dress (and husband, his wedding clothing) and is photographed where the background is completely out of place compared to typical wedding photography. These photographs make a wonderful end piece for wedding albums as they are a stark, and a beautiful contrast to the typical wedding pictures.
It contrasts elegant clothing with an environment in which it is completely out of place. It is generally shot in the style of glossy beauty and glamour photography. I use city streets, rooftops, garbage dumps, rivers, creeks, fields, and abandoned buildings and are only few examples of my After Shots session locations.
It can be viewed as a statement that the wedding is complete and the dress will not be used again. You can see it as an alternative to storing the dress away, never to be seen again. Depending on the dress fabric, it is common that the dress is not damaged and may be cleaned or stored as desired. I do these sessions on Sundays, within a month of the honeymoon. It’s a great value for you as they typically take 3-5 hours and produces fantastic results.
